INSTRUCTIONS :

PROGRESSION :

  • RESEARCH / REFERENCE :

We were instructed to perform some study and find some scenery references on the internet before beginning this project. We were allowed to utilise any form of reference or picture to work with in this module, with the exception of desert terrain. And here are some Pinterest references I found.

  • VALUE PAINTING :
After selecting some Pinterest references, we were instructed to begin value painting initially. Sir remarked that learning the worth of an image will help us a lot when we colour it later. The value of an object tells us about its depth, light, and shadows. And here are some examples of value painting from the references I chose:

  • BLOCKOUT PAINTING :

After finishing the value painting, I immediately began the blockout. It was difficult because we needed to find the colour ourselves and we couldn't utilise the colour picker to improve our colour sense on this project, and here are my blockout results:

REFLECTIONS :

Through this semester, I learned a lot about value, depth, and texturing in drawing. It enhances my drawing skills as well as my coloring sense as well since we have to draw it manually with our hands. It's pretty fun and frustrating at the same time because I'm worried that I wouldn't be able to survive this module because my coloring pretty weird, however, I did not bad in this project and I have to say that it was a memorable journey for me.
