PROJECT 1 : RESEARCH PROPOSAL

During the first week of this semester, we were given a brief introduction to research methodology and instructed on what we should accomplish during this module. As our first assignment and project, Drs. Hayati and Jinchi introduced us to research and the research proposal. As their first assignment, all students must develop their own research topic and justification. 

With the assistance of my friends Esther, Michelle, and Luisa, I decided to create my first research proposal. As it was my first time conducting research, it was extremely difficult, and here is the research proposal.

However, Dr. Hayati advised me to narrow my topic so that it would be manageable throughout the semester. Accordingly, I decided to narrow my topic and revised the entire research proposal, including the research problem, objectives, questions, and problem statement.

FEEDBACK

Week 5

• General Feedback : 

Dr. Hayati was able to provide us with manual assistance for writing our critical review. She was also able to provide us with extremely helpful feedback on our efforts to complete this project. She also directs the students to the blog of their senior class in order for them to follow the correct format.

• Specific Feedback :

Dr. Hayati referred us to a blog written by a group of senior citizens, but I used the incorrect example. She told me that, despite the fact that it sounds stressful, it will be extremely beneficial for students' dissertations in the following semester.

Week 6

Week 7

• General Feedback :  

Dr. Hayati reviewed the students' progress on this project once more. She was also able to assist students who struggled during this period so that they could complete this project successfully.

• Specific Feedback : 

My work was approved by Dr. Hayati, so I can move on to my next project, which is a research plan or primary research. Before continuing with the data collection, she also requested that I choose two out of four methods.

REFLECTION

I struggled tremendously with this project. I turned in my critical review late because I had to prepare for and catch my flight back to Malaysia, making it quite stressful for me to complete this assignment. However, I was able to gather five articles from the Taylor library and Google scholar that I believe will be extremely beneficial to my work. I was also able to immediately begin my next project after completing this one. Overall, I found this project to be challenging, but the journey was memorable.
