PROPOSAL AND PROGRESSIONS :
- INITIAL PROPOSAL AND PROGRESSIONS
We were instructed to build an innovation movement using our design
skills for this subject, as well as to explore our creative potential.
Coincidentally, we were assigned for this project to create a design
output (good to be explored) that aligns with UNDP's 17 sustainable
development goals (SDG) from which we can choose.
For this project, I decided to create a short film/campaign that
aligns with SGD's goal of responsible consumption and production in
order to encourage people to avoid, reduce, reuse, and recycle all
waste generation.
And here are my initial proposal for this module:

And I immediately began experimenting with camera techniques and
movements in order to better understand movie principles and
techniques in order to improve the video's output later. And here
are some of the trials and errors I encountered during week 6:

- PROGRESSIONS
For the first step in completing this project, I decided to go to the
LRT station and some nearby locations to shoot the video that I needed
for the short film. However, I realised that the shots I obtained were
insufficient for the short film (some were unusable), so I decided to
use some free videos from pexels to fill the space on the video.
And here are some shots I took with the actress:

- CHANGES AND PROGRESSION
All of the ideas were switched and changed to something more fresh and
playful at this point. I opted to employ the Y2K theme, which is
currently highly trendy and unique, to portray the playful concept
while also conveying the content in a fun way in accordance with the
criteria. Many illustrations were created to complement the overall
video and to create a fun mood through visual elements in the film.

And here are the most challenging part of this project, which is the
editing. A total of 49 layers were used and utilized while creating
the music video. It was really heavy that my laptop was almost take
off during editing. I also have to flop the quality to quarter in
order to see the video from the preview (if I use full then nothing is
going to work).

It is very unbelievably scared me that it took me 5 hours to render the
whole video!!. A 1 minute video rendered in 5 hours is frightening, and
my laptop was about to crash. I spent my entire two-hour flight from
Kuala Lumpur to my hometown of Jakarta, but not enough time to finish
the rendering. T_T

FINAL PROJECT :
And here is The Price of Convenience's final output. This programme encourages individuals to prevent, reduce, recycle, and reuse garbage in order to reduce waste generation, which aligns with the UNDP Sustainable Development Goals programme.

REFLECTION :
First and foremost, I'd like to express my gratitude to Ms. Anis, my lecturer, who never stopped assisting me and encouraging all students to discover their latent potential through design exploration. I am incredibly grateful to have been given the freedom to do whatever I want in this module. Not only can I make films, but I can also manipulate photographs in Photoshop by participating in my tiger value competition.
I hope that this curriculum becomes a core for Creative Media, allowing all students to accomplish whatever they want and discover their latent potential on their own. It has been a truly remarkable journey for me to meet new individuals in class and see their genuine potential through attempting new things in this subject.
This lesson and this experience will not be forgotten by me!!
