PROJECTS :

  • PROJECT 1 : PRE - PRODUCTION
    • THEME AND CONCEPT :

Figure 1.0 Universe and Concept

For my future vehicle design, I was intrigued in the Victorian-era steampunk concept; but, I believe this cyberpunk with a dismal future theme will also be appealing. As a result, I chose this notion and began observing and learning what things were extremely similar to this type of concept to assist me in developing a vehicle.

    • MOODBOARD :

I started explore my Pinterest to discover a good car for my concept. Although I wanted to use cyberpunk as the base or theme of my future car, I also wanted to merge it with a current futuristic sci-fi sort of vehicle, so that the result would be unique due to these two interesting theme pairings.

    • THUMBNAIL SKETCHES :

After that, I decided to produce other sketches for various types of cars. As said previously, it will be heavily affected by the combination of futuristic and cyberpunk styles, so I attempted to balance it out.

    • SILHOUETTE SKETCHES :

Mr. Kannan advised us to try silhouette sketches in order to expand our imagination in regards to our sketches. This method allows you to incorporate multiple elements simply and develop your own ideas with ease.

    • ROUGH VALUE PAINTING :

After selecting one of the prior silhouette sketches, we are instructed to create a preliminary value painting, which I found to be quite exploratory, in order to locate the optimal vehicle shape afterwards. I choose to create three unique exploratory paintings for my three silhouette sketches.

    • DETAILS AND PERSPECTIVES :

Ultimately, I decided to use my land vehicle as my final project output; henceforth, I would concentrate more on rendering and designing the interior of this vehicle in order to complete this project.

    • INTERIOR DESIGN :

Figure 2.2  Vehicle (Rendered)

For the cabin of the vehicle, I was considering emulating the cockpit of a fighter jet, which is a single-seater vehicle controlled by a yoke or joystick. As stated previously, given this vehicle was supposed to be from the year 2077, I attempted to replace as many buttons as possible with screens.

Figure 2.4 Vehicle Interior (Render)

Here are some of the steps I took to create the interior of my automobile. As previously indicated, the cockpit has a limited amount of buttons because the big computer screen has replaced them.

Figure 2.5 Interior and Exterior (Rendered)

Here are the final renderings of the vehicle's inside and exterior. The majority of the body section is made of metal and silver, and the majority of the colors utilized are orange, black, and silver, which I considered to be really daring and contemporary.

    • PROPS DESIGN :

I chose to use the yoke or joystick instead for the prop. I decided to locate inspiration on Pinterest and began designing the prop. I used the same hue as the truck, which I considered to be really powerful: silver, metal, and orange.

  • PROJECT 3 : POST PRODUCTION
    • ORTHOGRAPHIC :

    • ADDITIONAL VEHICLES :

Because I choose to create my car in 2D rather than 3D, the rest of the suggested vehicle must also be illustrated. Again, I opted to employ the same color scheme that I selected for the ultimate car. In addition, both the material and coloring procedure are same.

    • FINAL RENDER AND KEY ARTWORK :

Here are the final output of this semester projects. The vehicle I choose is the land vehicle that can be operated in both land and air (Hybrid). I chose the arctic as the background since I discovered that this vehicle can work flawlessly in the arctic because it has neither wheels nor anything that directly contacts the rough ground.
